Why is my New Jersey house cold and clammy instead of just cool?
That is usually a humidity problem, not a temperature problem. When an AC runs in short bursts, it drops the air temperature without pulling enough moisture out, so 74 degrees feels sticky. Oversized equipment, a dirty coil, low airflow from a clogged filter, or duct leakage in a humid basement or crawlspace all cause it. Change the filter first, then call us and we will measure airflow and check the coil and the refrigerant charge. You should not chase refrigerant yourself; that is our side of the job.eeded corrections happen at the unit.
What areas of New Jersey do you serve?
We cover homeowners across the state, from the northern counties down through the central corridor and into the southern and shore areas. The city list on this page is the fastest way to confirm your town. If you do not see it, call anyway; our routes cover more ground than the list shows, and we will tell you straight whether we can reach you.
How fast can you get here when the AC or heat goes out?
Call us and we will give you a real window for that day or the next, depending on how the schedule looks. Heat-out calls in freezing weather and cooling failures during a humid stretch move to the front. We will not promise a time we cannot hold, and we call before we roll so you are not sitting by the door.
What should I have ready before the technician arrives?
Know where the indoor unit and the outdoor unit sit, and clear a path to both. Have the thermostat accessible, and note what you have already tried: batteries, a breaker you reset, a filter you swapped. If you have paperwork on the system's age or past repairs, set it out. Tell us what you hear or smell and when it started, because that often points us straight at the fault.
I smell gas near my furnace. What do I do?
Get everyone out of the house first. Do not touch switches, do not use the thermostat, and do not light anything. From outside, call 911 or your gas utility's emergency line and let them clear the property. Once they say it is safe, call us and we will inspect the furnace, the burners and the venting before you run heat again. Same rule if a carbon monoxide alarm sounds: outside first, then the emergency call.
How it works
- Step 1
Tell us the symptom
Call or fill in the form and describe what changed. Warm air, short cycling, a smell, water near the indoor unit. Details like that help us load the right parts before we leave.
- Step 2
We diagnose the whole system
We check the thermostat, the indoor unit, the outdoor unit and the ductwork, including runs in crawlspaces where damp air and loose joints quietly cause weak airflow and long run times.
- Step 3
You approve the fix
We explain what failed, what it takes to repair it, and what we would watch next season. Nothing gets replaced without your yes, and we clean up before we leave.

Why homeowners call us
- Humidity is our home groundMuggy summers and damp shoulder seasons drive most of the calls we take. We look at moisture and airflow together, not the cooling number alone, because a clammy house often means a sizing or duct problem.
- Crawlspace ducts get checkedOlder homes across the region run supply ducts through vented crawlspaces. Crushed flex, disconnected boots and soaked insulation show up constantly, and we get under the house to look instead of guessing from the register.
- Heating and cooling bothSame crew for air conditioning repair in July and heating repair in January. We know how your furnace, heat pump and air handler share ducts and a blower, so one visit covers the whole system.
- Plain talk on repair or replaceWhen a repair makes sense, we repair it. When a system is failing in ways that will keep costing you, we say so and explain why, then leave the decision with you and your timeline.
- All major brands, gas & electricCarrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, York and more, as an independent company.
- Straight answersIf a system is not worth repairing, we say so, often right on the phone.
