Quick answers before you call

My AC runs but the air is not cold. What is wrong?

Common causes are a dirty filter choking airflow, a frozen indoor coil, a failed outdoor fan or capacitor, or low refrigerant from a leak. You can change the filter and clear leaves off the outdoor unit. Leave refrigerant and electrical work to us and call for air conditioner repair.

What can I safely check before calling?

Five things. Thermostat batteries and settings, including whether it is set to cool or heat. The breaker for the system. A clogged filter. Debris, weeds or mulch packed around the outdoor unit. Supply and return vents left closed or blocked by furniture. Anything past that, call us.

I smell gas near my furnace. What now?

Leave the house first, with everyone in it. From outside, call 911 or your gas utility and let them shut it down. Do not flip switches or use the thermostat on your way out. Once the utility says the home is safe, call us for the heater repair.

Do you handle heating repair as well as AC?

Yes. We work on furnaces, heat pumps, air handlers and the ductwork they share, so the same crew handles furnace repair in winter and air conditioning repair in summer. That matters because a weak blower or leaking duct shows up in both seasons.

Which areas do you cover?

We serve homeowners in Washington DC, Delaware, Maryland, North Carolina, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia. Give us your address when you call or submit the form and we will confirm coverage and scheduling for your area before we book the visit.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill in the form and describe what changed. Warm air, short cycling, a smell, water near the indoor unit. Details like that help us load the right parts before we leave.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose the whole system

We check the thermostat, the indoor unit, the outdoor unit and the ductwork, including runs in crawlspaces where damp air and loose joints quietly cause weak airflow and long run times.

  3. Step 3

    You approve the fix

We explain what failed, what it takes to repair it, and what we would watch next season. Nothing gets replaced without your yes, and we clean up before we leave.

Why homeowners call us

  • Humidity is our home groundMuggy summers and damp shoulder seasons drive most of the calls we take. We look at moisture and airflow together, not the cooling number alone, because a clammy house often means a sizing or duct problem.
  • Crawlspace ducts get checkedOlder homes across the region run supply ducts through vented crawlspaces. Crushed flex, disconnected boots and soaked insulation show up constantly, and we get under the house to look instead of guessing from the register.
  • Heating and cooling bothSame crew for air conditioning repair in July and heating repair in January. We know how your furnace, heat pump and air handler share ducts and a blower, so one visit covers the whole system.
  • Plain talk on repair or replaceWhen a repair makes sense, we repair it. When a system is failing in ways that will keep costing you, we say so and explain why, then leave the decision with you and your timeline.
  • All major brands, gas & electricCarrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, York and more, as an independent company.
  • Straight answersIf a system is not worth repairing, we say so, often right on the phone.

Small faults get expensive on their own schedule

A house that is too hot, too cold or too humid usually has a cause you can point at. Tell us what the system is doing and when it started, and we will get a technician out to your area. Call us, or send the quote form and we will follow up.
